New Condo Developments in Vancouver & BC

The ever growing demand for new homes in BC is creating a massive surge in new condominium developments. These new condos in BC can be found all over the lower mainland, sporting amazing views, spectacular amenities and convenient locations.

With the modifications and improvements taking place with transit in BC, living in the lower mainland is no longer ages away from the city; the best of the city is available to those in the suburbs with only a quick train or bus ride.

One of the most popular areas right now is the lower mainland, although many new condo developments are appearing in areas such as Kelowna, Kamloops, and Penticton; perhaps a sign of British Columbia’s interior opening its door to the potential overflow if the demand continues to rise. These smaller cities are up and coming with all the amenities you could want with a little more space and quiet as well as generally lower prices. If you think that living right downtown is no longer an option, think again; the condo craze has hit the downtown area as well, with most condos being one bedroom and fairly spacious offering urban living in true style. Larger and smaller condominiums are available downtown with a wide range of amenities and features, catering to many different walks of life, you’re sure to find a new condominium to suit your needs and desires. With the interest and mortgage rates continuing their upward journey, it seems that the demand is accelerating as everyone tries to take advantage of prices now and then can sit comfortably watching the property value rise in the years preceding the 2010 Winter Olympics.

With so many areas to chose from, it can be hard to know which one is right for you; especially if you’re moving from elsewhere in Canada or the world. It is important to list what you’re looking for in a city, community, and your new home to help guide you in the right direction. If downtown living is what you’re looking for, Vancouver has an abundance of choice when it comes to new condominium developments. Scattered through most areas of the city, choose from long lists of amenities, transportation options, or size of your new home as you’ll be able to find it all and keep the city buzz all around you.

If you’re wanting to keep the city at your fingertips but not live right downtown, areas like Richmond, New Westminster and Burnaby are all viable options. Each are close enough to Vancouver to make for an easy commute, but are self-sufficient enough to keep residents surrounded by all they need. Abundant shopping combined with green space make these areas a solid alternative to downtown living. Port Moody is a rapidly developing area just a stone’s throw from Burnaby. With recreational areas such as Rocky Point for water sports and walking trails as well as being right on the West Coast Express line, this part of British Columbia is beautiful and gives the feeling of being away from the bustle while still being within easy reach. Surrey and White Rock are both strong competitors in the condominium market and with Surrey’s great access to the Skytrain, Vancouver, New Westminster and Burnaby are all well within commuting distance.

Whichever city you feel fits you best will leave you with a wide range of options as the new condominium developments in British Columbia are tailored to fit many different lifestyles. The increasing demand on housing will serve to give buyers on the market many choices and a better chance to find their perfect fit. If you’re thinking about buying a new condominium in British Columbia, start looking sooner than later and you could be on your way to living in your dream home.
